The Sixth Doctor, portrayed by Colin Baker, is a flamboyant and often abrasive incarnation of the Doctor from the long-running BBC science fiction television series *Doctor Who*.
He first appeared at the conclusion of the episode "The Caves of Androzani" in 1984, following the Fifth Doctor's regeneration. His initial appearance was marked by a period of instability, reflected in his erratic behavior and outlandish attire – a multi-colored coat that became a defining characteristic.
Baker's portrayal of the Doctor was deliberately designed to be more alien and less immediately relatable than previous incarnations. He possessed a sharp intellect and a strong moral compass, but his arrogance and lack of social grace often led to conflict with his companions and others he encountered during his travels across time and space.
